Modern day slavery statement
At Blanc & Mist, we believe true luxury cannot exist without integrity. Modern slavery is one of the gravest violations of human dignity, and we hold a zero-tolerance approach to any form of forced labour, exploitation, or human trafficking.
We recognise that every company has a responsibility to ensure its operations and supply chains remain free from these practices. For us, this responsibility is not only legal, but deeply moral — rooted in our commitment to craftsmanship, authenticity, and respect for humanity.
Our Business & Supply Chains
Blanc & Mist is a United Kingdom–based luxury lifestyle brand offering skincare, apparel, accessories, and home décor. We work closely with trusted suppliers and artisans across Europe and beyond, choosing partners who share our values of ethical production, sustainability, and excellence.
All suppliers undergo a strict onboarding process that includes:
Due diligence on legal, environmental, and labour practices
Review of reputation and compliance standards
Ongoing assessments and audits where required
We have not received any allegations of slavery or human trafficking within our supply chain. Should such an issue arise, we would act immediately to investigate, terminate partnerships where necessary, and report to relevant authorities.
Risk Assessment
We regularly review our supply chain to identify potential risks, considering:
Country profiles (based on the Global Slavery Index)
The type of services and goods provided
The demographics of labour forces involved
Industry insights and reports from human rights organisations
These assessments guide our policies, training, and monitoring practices.
Policies
To safeguard against modern slavery and human trafficking, Blanc & Mist has implemented the following:
Whistleblowing Policy – enabling employees, partners, or customers to report concerns in confidence without fear of retaliation.
Code of Conduct – setting clear expectations for ethical behaviour across our operations and supply chain.
Purchasing Code – updated to explicitly prohibit slavery and trafficking in supplier contracts.
Supplier Standards
We require all suppliers to confirm that:
No forced, bonded, or involuntary labour is used.
Employment is voluntary, with the right to leave freely.
Workers are provided with fair contracts and notice periods.
Salaries are paid on time and in full.
No passports, permits, or deposits are withheld as a condition of work.
Awareness & Training
We believe awareness is the first step to prevention. To that end, we:
Share resources and communications with staff highlighting red flags and reporting procedures.
Provide an e-learning training programme to employees and supplier contacts, covering:
The forms and risks of modern slavery
How to identify and escalate concerns
Guidance on working only with ethical, transparent suppliers
Measuring Our Progress
We track progress using key performance indicators, including:
Percentage of employees who complete mandatory training
Number of suppliers completing our ethics and compliance questionnaires
Supplier adoption of awareness and training programmes equivalent to our own
Internal reports received relating to ethical or human rights concerns
Commitment

At Blanc & Mist, our pursuit of beauty and refinement is inseparable from our duty to humanity. We remain committed to building a supply chain defined not only by craftsmanship and quality, but also by dignity, fairness, and respect.
